I purchased an assortment of books & DVDs last week for possible Yuletide offers, and so far consumption has included The City & the City, the first China Miéville I've read. It's a flawed novel, I'd say 'of ideas', but really there's only the one, and I know several on my flist disliked it. Just to be awkward, however, I really enjoyed it, and my subconscious came up with the following unimaginatively titled drabble.
