Underage

Going back to the relatives tomorrow. Sigh. I can't get any writing done like this! Well, I guess I should've known that since we're never home during Midsummer day. And the weather forecast says it's going to rain. Ugh... I can feel the mosquitos.

Well, the good news is, if not anything else, I'll update an unbetaed version of Property's 15th chapter tomorrow. Hopefully the betaed version. I'll keep my thumbs up, since I won't be home for nearly a week after that.

The bad news is, I can never get those 10 000 words written by the end of this month, when today is practically the last day I can write... and my word count is under 5000. Facepalms. I'm such a slow writer. But I'm thinking about just shifting the deadline to the end of July and trying to get it written anyway. (Goddamn I want that story written!)

And since I haven't published much resently, there's a little older one-shot. Yullen.

Warnings: Cursing, drunk Allen, unbetaed.
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters, they're Hoshino's property. I do love them though.

Underage

The music was screaming too loud, radiating from every direction, crushing against his frame. It sent vibrations along all surfaces, the slightest of tremor increasing to shake the very core of his being, resonating in his bones until it felt like the reality itself was trembling around him. He was tickling, restless by the feeling that distorted his hearing to the point in which every sound was mingled to another, clamor of indistinct noise enveloping him like a blanket. His lungs were drawing breath laboredly, the air around him too thick and substantial, worse than that of a rainforest during the hottest time of the day. The world around him flashed again and again, every time with different color, pulsing too fast for his fuzzy senses to comprehend anything. It was all spinning, twirling, mixing. He felt like suffocating.

So consumed in his world of commotion, tremor and flashes of painful light the nearly sickeningly pale male didn’t notice as someone stopped next to him, addressing him over the ruckus of the stuffed up place. He didn’t hear the words, didn’t understand that he was supposed to raise his head and answer. All he knew was the pain hacking inside his head as he hold it between his hands, eyes closed, mouth slightly open, trying to tune everything out.

Though the person he was blissfully unaware wasn’t going to give up as easily as the previous ones that had tried talking to the young man. Accustomed with people who stubbornly insisted to ignore him everyday the intruder spoke again, raising his voice a little. When the one sitting at the bar didn’t react, the tall man sighed exasperatedly, reached out towards the other’s shoulder and tapped it sharply.

Allen jumped, his world of chaos cracking fractionally as the sudden touch startled him awake from the ignorance. Wearily he raised his gaze up to meet the dark orbs staring at him with lightly annoyed look in them. He blinked, gradually realizing that the person in front of him was wearing a uniform of a guard. Three second later his mind came to the resolution that the tall man was in fact a bouncer.

As Allen just continued to stare at the guy, obviously having no intentions of opening his mouth, the guard crossed his arms over his chest, cocking an eyebrow before speaking once again. Only, all the albino could comprehend was the man’s lips moving with no voice as the ruckus buzzing around them absorbed the words. Slowly he understood that maybe, just maybe it was something important enough to bother listening. After all the grumpy looking guy was a guard.

"What?" His brains weren’t working properly, odd numbness slackening everything he did. With a glint of hilarity he found the feeling rather funny. Though the pinch of good mood subsided almost instantly as if it hadn’t ever even existed.

The man frowned with irritation as he leant closer, bringing his face down a little. With a sluggish surprise Allen noted that the other’s hair was long, verging his waist even while being pulled up into a high ponytail. Like women’s. He felt like laughing but the tiredness in his body denied the pleasure. Weird though, normally he didn’t find other’s features amusing despite what they looked like.

Then the man opened his mouth and Allen had to concentrate on comprehending the words.

"Get up, get out and don’t come back."

He blinked stupidly, staring up at those dark eyes that weren’t going to tolerate with negative answer. Then he blinked again, getting what the other wanted him to do. Slowly a frown formed on his previously exceedingly vacant face as he didn’t get why he should do like the man said. After a moment of pondering silence, Allen finally managed to grasp the idea of how he was supposed to act now.

"Why?"

The long-haired guy’s eye twitched, irritation starting to show off with more intense. It nearly made him snicker, but then again that would probably be a bad idea. Why he was so sure of it he didn’t know, though neither did he really care at the moment. The entire world was swirling around him dazedly.

"No minors. Or can’t you read the sign at the door?" The man growled, glaring at him with blazing eyes. "Now get your ass of the stool and get the hell out of here, unless you want me to fucking drag you."

Allen’s brows furrowed in confusion as he kept staring at the taller male, puzzled expression plastered onto his face. Was the guard high or something? He didn’t get it. What had minors to do with him? Nonplussed countenance still lingering on his features he tried to understand why was he being disturbed.

"But… why?"

The look on the nameless man’s face was priceless as he stared at the albino with a mix of annoyance, incredulity and fatigue. Sighing in irritation the guy raised one hand up to massage his temples as the other wandered down to his side almost like trying to clutch something that wasn’t there. Maybe the guard had really taken drugs.

"Because the law says so", the man hissed through his teeth, the row around them nearly swallowing the voice before Allen’s ears registered it. Now this made the younger one even more baffled - as long as he knew he hadn’t done anything to be generally banned from bars. There got to be some mistake now there.

"The law says I’m… denied to be in pubs?" the youth repeated to make sure he hadn’t heard anything wrong.

"Yes", the guard snapped, obviously fed up with trying to talk him out. "You and every other underage brat. Now make this is easy for the both of us and get the fuck out."

Blinking his gray eyes slowly Allen finally understood what was all the fuss about. Albeit the comprehension turned swiftly into indignation as his more or less hazy mind couldn’t help but feel mortally offended by being mistaken to a kid. Scowling in anger he leant on the bar and rose a little feebly to his legs. That jerk with girly hair was going to pay for violating his age so grossly.

"I’m not some… some underage runt, you jackass!" the shorter male nearly yelled, gray eyes flaming with sudden inferno. With his free hand he poked at the other’s chest. "I have all the rights to be here if I want! I’m a paying customer!"

For a half a second there was surprise in the dark eyes of the taller male. Then it was replaced by anger and it came obvious that the man wasn’t going to just drop off the topic. "Oh, my bad", he remarked sarcasm emitting from the voice like venom. "It’s that fragile appearance you old men have. I just thought you were some freaky brat who has dyed his hair white."

Allen’s eyes widened in shock for a second before anger washed over and he gritted his teeth, not backing off even the slightest. "My hair?" If words could’ve taken the shape of objects there would’ve been poisoned daggers flying at the guard. "I’ve had it like this since my birth, Miss Asia."

The ominous storm in the gray eyes was challenged by the rising hurricane of fury as the obsidian eyes started emitting pure killing intent. "Miss Asia? Do I look like some dumb, blond beauty princess to you, retard? Or have you by change lost your glasses?" Without the notice of the two, the nearest people started to inch away from the intimidating couple.

"My eyesight is completely fine, thank you for your concern", Allen stated, smiling insincerely sweet smile with no shame whatsoever. "So thinking you as a blond isn’t very rational, no is it? However, what comes to your intelligent, I very much prefer to question it." If the flashing lights weren’t making him see thing there was a very amusing vein popping on the girly man’s forehead. How delightful.

"With your brains I guess that’s not so unexpected", the man cast back the next insult, not missing a beat despite his obvious rage. "Also it seems like you’ve disregarded the fact that I do, in fact, have the authority to throw your sorry ass out if I feel like it."

Allen’s eyes narrowed at the expression that slowly changed into a smug one and his hand clenched the bar’s edge with more force. Somehow his mind was working too slow, not able to restrain the anger roaming inside of him. "You have no right to insult me! I’ve done nothing to… to get expelled from here!"

One of the dark, neat brow rose up with amusement. "Expelled? Where the hell do you think you are? In a school?" The man rolled his eyes. "Che. Get back to your home and go to sleep like someone of your age should be already doing."

"Of my age? Of my age?!" Despite the nearly two meters wide free zone around them the clamor wasn’t any more subdued than it had been before the so called conversation had begun. Nor was the buzzing haze in Allen’s head. "You… you don’t even know my age!"

"I don’t need to."

"You… jerk! Argh! I’ve had it with you!" Too disoriented and weary to understand that by leaving he lost, the white haired man pushed past the annoying guard and headed straight towards the exit, steaming with anger and irritation. How did that Miss Asia Princess dare to come ruin his evening? He hadn’t done anything! So consumed in his exasperated musing Allen was that he didn’t even notice anything missing as he made his way through the endlessly moving crowd. Actually, he didn’t notice it until next morning.

However, the grumpy guard did notice it and after a moment of consideration he decided to take it with him. After all, the albino would probably come for it and then he’d had another opportunity to poke fun at him.

Little did Kanda Yuu know, just how much that decision would change his life.

I don't really know what to think about this, but hope it's funny enough... ^^;
