I wish I could cook. I'm much better at following step by step directions, so I bake, LOL. I hope to hear/read more. :)

Baking has too many measurements and constraints. And I can't follow directions.

I can bake if I have to, but I prefer to just sort of chop up some of this, dice some of that, and throw in a pinch of something else and let the magic happen.

Exactly! My husband asks me for my cooking measurements all the time and I just give him a blank stare!

I find with two kids, its much easier to jump in and figure out the rest later. planning just so seldom works.

I rarely stick to precise measurements when baking. I'm amazed I've had no huge disasters to date ^_^
