LJ Idol Week 0 - Introduction
Hello Hello!
I am terrible at introductions. I don't mind public speaking, but for some reason introductions make me anxious. I'll give you a brief run down.
I am 23 years old and live in New York. I am married to my absolute best friend and am both lucky and ecstatic to get to share every day with him. I have a six-year old son, who makes me laugh every single day. Our most recent addition to the family is a beautiful ten-month old girl who has helped me find my own femininity.
I spend a lot of time at work, where I manage a bunch of coffee-slinging employees who have also become my friends. My job is part guidance counselor, part life coach, part gestapo, and part barista. Every day is a new adventure.
I love to write, and to read, although both hobbies have fallen to the wayside with the addition of longer hours and another child. It's crazy for me to be trying to do LJ Idol, but I've recently realized that if I don't jump in with both feet to the things I want to do, they'll never get done.
I love to cook, and enjoy food. Without question, my skills are far superior when it comes to cooking than trying to bake anything. Baking has too many measurements and constraints. And I can't follow directions.
As far as friending goes, feel free to friend me. or don't. It's all good.
