5.4, but how big is the scale?
Well, many of us experienced our first earthquake this morning. Blake always stays over on Thursday nights, so when it happened at 5:36 AM, Courtney, Blake, and I were sitting there basically staring at each other for a couple seconds. At first none of us knew what it was, but we thought through the possibilities and eliminated them until we came to "earthquake". As far as I can tell, nothing has been damaged in Indiana, but I wonder about Illinois (the epicenter)
Before returning to bed this morning, I (somewhat irrationally, of course) decided that this must be what the apocalypse is like. The power went out briefly last night. I'm pretty sure parts of Indiana are still pretty darn flooded. And now an earthquake. But, in the words of my dear friend Brad, "That was a good apocalypse. I always expected more brimstone, though."
