This is how you know you have issues with pessimism
Exhibit A. Upon walking into your office, you assume you are fired when you can't log into your computer (being fired Fmylife.com style).
Exhibit B. After not hearing from your boyfriend when he went on a camping trip during the weekend, you assume his life turned into one of those novel/movie scenarios in which the protagonist goes on some kind of self-exploration journey (in the woods of all places), has incredible self-realizations, and decides to get out of the relationship and start over.
I am glad I can step back and laugh at myself.
PS. Why does the account I made for my mother on twitter (without her knowledge) have 12 followers, all of whom look like attractive 35 year old men? I only have one on my twitter account, my friend from work :(
