Seriously, he always does this when I close my door at night. I'm sitting here at my computer, and I hear him banging his head against the door trying to open it. This isn't a hard "BANG!" by the way, more like a nudge, but it's just funny, lol. If I'm not in bed, sometimes I'll let him in.
Today was mildly eventful and enjoyable, not extremely. Basically slept in until roughly 2:30 (alarm didn't go off at 10:10 for some reason), helped my dad around the house a little bit, cut the back grass (which was fortunate because it went from about 1,000 degrees outside to about 75 as soon as I started), ate dinner (barbecued boar steaks, good stuff), then went over Gregs. The whole camping crew from a few weeks ago was there (Me, Greg, Brenton, Chris, Dave, Eric, Dan), and Brenton brought his g/f Brandy. His twin sister Bridgette also stopped by, who I hadn't seen since like 7th grade or something. We swam (until about 10 when Dave showed up, hehe), got pizza and shot pool. There's a funny story I could tell about the pizza involving Chris, but it's one of those "you-had-to-be-theres".
Now for the continuation of:
ADAM'S VENTURE ONTO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BRAIN
The Saga of Adam's Two-day-a-week job with Electrical Contractors
Part 2
So this week, I actually graduated to using a band saw and drill. I thank the Lord that the guys I work with are really cool. Basically, I spent my two days sawing and drilling holes in pieces of unistrut. If you don't know what unistrut is, basically, it's a type of metal beam used to secure electrical equipment in the air. I also had to load and unload a bunch of it onto/from the truck. Which was ridiculously simple (and I still get overpaid to do it :-), but ain't complaining). But as some of you may know, it's well-needed experience because, come on, a male in America who doesn't know how to use power tools? What woman on Earth would want to marry such a creature, lol?
Predicting this week will be slightly more eventful in that realm. And no, I haven't killed anyone yet. At least, that I know of.
But the most exciting news at the moment is a week from tonight, I'll be up north at Mullett Lake for four days. Well, three really (half of Saturday and Tuesday). Getting excited.
