So yeah, me, Dave, Chris, and possibly other people are going to see Game 2 of the Finals on Palace Vision on Sunday. Let's just hope it will be worth the five bucks and that certain Pistons (*cough* everyone except Chauncey *cough* especially Carlos Arroyo *cough*) play 329% better than last night.
The sad thing is San Antonio didn't evne play that good either, at least offensively, except for the fact that they made their shots and we didn't. That was it. Some fairly simple analysis here. Both teams play great defense, not so great offense, but one made their shots and one didn't. The Pistons missed layups. Ginobili hits a shot that basically makes out with the entire rim before falling in, a la Patrick Sparks. Enough said.
Anyways, to jump away from the NBA, camping with the boys last weekend was off the hook. I'll just leave that at that.
So what's funny in my last entry is that I said I was going the next day to "for sure" spend $200 on CDs. Well I wake up that next morning to a phone call from my dad telling me that one of his electrical contractor buddies wants to hire me for the summer (okay, well actually he wanted my brother because he worked for him before), but my brother is unavailable working his other job, and I had two days a week open, so my pappy gets me in. But the scary part...He's an electrical contractor...I'm completely left-brained (as especially Dave can attest to)...with little to no knowledge of anything remotely mechanical...And next to no common sense...
Let's put it this way. He's a good friend of my dad, one who I've known for a while, and for what I'm doing, he's going to pay me fairly well, so I figure why not...But he's having me do (relatively) simple stuff, and still I've managed to make an idiot out of myself and I've only been doing work there two days...Eigh...Hopefully I'll survive without embarrassing myself too much more.
And oh yeah, I did do the CD shopping splurge the evening of the day after :-). Eric came with me, and I actually bought more CDs than Eric did, for what might be first (maybe second, I'm not sure) time that's ever happened.
Anyways, the internship is going the same as usual. Not much new to report out of the ordinary, at least at the moment.
Went to the MGM casino Wednesday night with my mom's cousin and my uncle. Won close to $300 playing craps. $296 to be exact when the night was all said and done. Yay.
Just got back from B-dubs with Dan, Chris, and Julie. Chris' band had a show at Rock-A-Billy's up on Hall Road. Had to go straight from work, but was well worth it. Went to Coney with the band and a bunch of other people after. Then the four of us still had the balls to go to B-Dubs, unlike some people...Hehe, just kidding, it was getting late anyways.
The only other thing worth talking about is the fact that I'm learning how anti-political I am. I mean, I've wondered before if I was a Dem or Pub, but I've learned I might be as in between as one can be. I mean, it's not that I don't care about issues, I have stances on most of them, but I will wake up one day and want to hit all Democrats in the face with a sledge-hammer, then wake up the next and want to throw all Republicans in the sewage treatment facility on Garfield. So yeah, I dunno. Of course that's an exaggeration, obviously I respect everyone's opinions, I just don't agree with all of them.
Anywho, I'm out because my space bar still won't go down all the way.
