Methinks a princess shouldn't be taking out the trash. ;)

I heard about the law firm of DC&H years ago from NPR's Car Talk (one of the best things on the radio ever!).

Didn't think it was possible, but you worry more about rule breaking than I do! Heck, as long as you do what it takes to negate any benefit from an oopsie, I don't see a problem at all.

I was wondering about their garden when you had to restock the fridge. Is there any limit on gardening aside from selling the produce? I'm not wild about raw tomatoes myself, except I'm beginning to like them on tacos. Love them cooked though!

*Seeks out the rules to this challenge*

Perhaps she's one of those persecuted princesses, like Cinderella? :P ( ... )

:D Ha, nice outerwear, Genevive!

As you might have guessed I would, can I ask about the Dewey, Cheatham and Howe thing please? :)

Aw, shame about the sewing machine, but good that you got a cc one. I'll have to look into that for my current game. :)

Ah, that's how Adam ended up match-making again. :D Baudelaire looks so cute bowling with both hands.

I wouldn't put tomatoes in cereal either; I don't eat it! :) I do like tomatoes though.

I *think* those points are too high for elf ears, but I may be wrong. I haven't used that hair mesh in a while, I'll have a look through my old challenges and see if it's a glitch.

Yay for still passing the challenge, I think you're doing great, Esme! :)

"Dewey, Cheatham & Howe" is an old Three Stooges joke that has been used in more modern times by a radio show called Car Talk. It looks like the normal name of a law firm, and if you say it in a British accent, I think it even sounds like a normal law firm, but if you say it in American, it sounds very very close to the phrase "Do we cheat 'em? And how!" This means "Do we cheat them? You bet we do, on a very large scale!" Which is pretty much what people think of lawyers and have done since Shakespeare ( ... )

Ah, I should have said it out loud! That makes sense now, I like it! :)

Ooh, yay, thank you Esme! I do miss stuff like that from Freetime, that treadle one looks great.

Yep, there's a tiny glitch in the mesh, my sim had brown hair and skin 2 so it wasn't so noticeable, but it is there. It's still a nice hair mesh though. :)

I saw the next thread, glad you and Jo have sorted it all out! Sounds like an awful play session. *hugs*

Haha before I made the picture larger I thought that was a gypsy leaving a lamp... -_-

I also had no idea on the Dewey, Cheatham & Howe joke. But I have read up ^ haha.

Shame about the sewing machine. Do you have the file? I'm thinking I might be able to open it in simpe and get rid of/lower the cash. There has been a few pieces off cc I would have used except it either gave too much cash or cheated motives or skilled too fast or something.

Yes, I think way back when I did this challenge-back in exchange days, I asked and was told no selling the crop. I saved quite a bit growing their food though. Can they meditate? I did this once in a challenge due to no food.

I would have guessed elf ears but I see Amy answered that one.

Things should be easier now they are teens. :D

Hah, yes, I hadn't noticed because I don't have Free Time, but Genevive in her outwear does look like a gypsy leaving a lamp, doesn't she? :) Darn, i could have made a joke about that ( ... )

The hardest challenge I've ever done is callista's homeless challenge! Well that and the apoc I attempted.

Of course I'd forgotten that rule. They need 3 logic points to meditate I think.

Which file out of those 4 Esme? cokenasmilesewingEP? Would you like me to see if I can change the money and if I can to what? $50? I don't promise to be able to do it though, as I have no idea if it's an easy thing or not. I did change a social security 'job' from $600 to $200. I like my sims poor. *evil cackle*

Darn, I forgot that there are four files in that post! Okay, I had a rummage through my files, and I'm pretty sure it's cokenasmilesewingEP. I think to be fair that the only way I could let these particular sims use the machine is for it not pay out at all. If that's not possible, then a nominal amount, like $1 or $5 is probably best. Otherwise, I could just have Beaudelaire sew all afternoon after school, and he'd probably make as much money as his mother! o_O If you want to have a crack at it, that would be cool, but please don't feel obligated! I'll work around it. :) (Also, I've already played the next rotation of this particular family, so it's not all that pressing.)

I think those are elf ears - the thing I noticed was Ygraine has rather sticky-out ears that resemble the second-to-last face template in CAS.

That template is borked - Eaxis did it - and doesn't work for ages other than young adults & adults. There are ways of fixing it, though it requires simpe.

Anyway, that's my theory for why Beaudelaire has elf ears.

Yes, when I extracted him and changed his hairstyle, it became pretty obvious that they are indeed elf ears, and you're probably right that there's a borked template causing them. I have downloaded fixed versions of that template and the other broken one and installed them, but it didn't happen until after Beaudelaire was born. I'm not sure if that will make him have normal ears after the rebuild or not, but we shall see...

Story-wise, I'm going to blame recessive genetics. :P

Thanks for reading and commenting! :D
