It certainly sucked like a Monday. I don't mind working hard. I don't mind chaos. I don't even mind working with assholes. What I do mind is working for managers who spend so much time tearaing their hair out screaming about how busy they are that they never actually get *anything* done.
Also, we have two med students in to do the donkey work - filing and such. One of them seemed okay so we gave her some typing, too. I don't know what worries me the most: that a fourth year med student has to ask me what various terminology means and what certain procedures are or even what part of the body some words refer to (I mean...4 years...surely they should have grasped the basics by now???) or the fact that I was able to answer all her questions in detail. I seem to know far more about any of this crud than I ever wanted to.
Helen and I had our chips tonight...and also doner meat, yum! And we had beers too which was a bad idea cus now I'm too sleepy/fuddled/lazy to do anything constructive.
And I almost got caught altering a sign in the kitchen at work. People who post instructions all over the place bug me at the best of times, but when they can't even get the spelling right then I get really irritated. This one said "Please do not leave the outside door open as a patient was recently found wondering in the corridoor." Wondering about what exactly? Wondering what he was doing wondering when he'd snuck in for a good old wander, perhaps? Idiots. My fave one though, has always been "Warning! This door is alarmed!" I can never resist adding on "...yeah, and I'm a little startled too!" Hehehe.
Oh well. I may just about be able to force one more beer. Happy Tuesday night everyone!
