skiing
well yesterday Shaheen and I went up to Baker for afternoon skiing. It's quite the rip-off...31 bucks for 3 hours of skiing and since there were so many people there, the lift lines were fairly long and it's a huge place so it takes a while to get to different places. Plus with all of the new snow, the runs weren't groomed and it was all mogully. But it was good to get up there. Sandra and some of her friends are coming up this weekend and we'll go up again, this time the whole day. it's like 39 bucks for the whole day 9:30-3:30, I definitely think it will be worht the extra 9 dollars to be able to ski a bunch more runs. We met Lisa there and she and I are at about the same ski level I think. After we got back I just ate dinner and watched tv for the rest of the night. I also talked to mom, Grandma Marilyn and Dad. I should have done some reading for Ochem, but oh well, I'll get to it eventually.
today so far it is still freezing temps so the snow has not gone away yet. I was a little nervous for the bus ride, but they have chains on, so it wasn't bad at all.
not looking forward to my afternoon...3-6 ochem lab. after two hours of biostats. not so fun stuff!
Shaheen has decided that I should now go out with Kevin's roomie John. I have to admit I had thought of it last quarter a little, he's a nice guy...so we'll see. I dunno though if we have too much in common. Right now I'm looking for a guy and other people who have more in common with me, like running, climbing, rafting or kayaking and skiing so we can actually have stuff to talk about and do together. so wish me luck on finding them! lata
