I'm having a hard time being back in Jesusland, aka Grayson County. Today, as my sister, dad and I went to the mall we got behind this car that had a bumper sticker that said: 10 reasons to vote Republican: the 10 commandments. Ooh will it ever end! And then we saw one that said: Thank God, I voted for Bush. My dad said that they're trying to make liberals sound like we're all atheists. Hey, I never knew I was one, but I guess I am since I will never, EVER vote Republican. So be it. This country is going to hell in a handbasket anyway. And I'm so tired of seeing the support our troops stickers. Seriously, who DOESN'T support our troops??? It IS possible to support our troops without supporting the "president". Ugh. So apparently I'm an atheist and I don't support our troops. Interesting. I also think it's interesting how it's so easy to tell one's political party by just looking at the car they drive. Conservatives are in SUV's and trucks and BMW's and liberals are in Honda's and Volvo's and the like. Everytime I pass an SUV now, I look for the Bush sign, cause I know it's gonna be there. And I know how mad all the republicans get when they're stereotyped as rednecks and so on, but seriously, I go to school in the city and I come back home to the country, and let me say, there IS a difference. Maybe that's why I hate this place so much. So much ignorance and no one even cares about seeing the flip side of their opinion. I don't even know if Kenny should come visit me next week. I'm so embarrassed to say that this is where I'm from. At least my parents brought us up to be liberals. I just have to make it through the rest of the breaks I have in college here, and then I can go marry Kenny and we will DEFINITELY be moving to a liberal place. Oh how I can't wait.
