So, last year I started on taking this "nature medicine" against 'a heavy mind' or whatever during the winter. Last year it worked - well, I got out of bed in time for work and uni and meetings and stuff - though if it was actually 'cause of the pills or due to the placebo effect I don't know. Then it became spring and my symptoms disappeared/ ( Read more... )

I have no experience with nature medicine but it's possible that being outdated could mean it lost its potency. I hope you're able to sort things out soon and are feeling better. I hate this time of year because I tend to get seasonal depression too and it's awful, especially when it's overcast for days on end to add to the gloominess of the season.

^^this. I am not a medical professional but most of the time when medicines "expire", it's that they can no longer be guaranteed to perform their expected task. I feel like this would be especially true with a plant/herb/something else like that that could dry out or lose oils or change chemically over time. Upping your dosage may help to compensate.

Thanks.

yeah, it's just so annoying. Usually I have a job or uni to get up to, so if I don't get up there are consequences, which makes me get up just in time to be there on time, but now? I have neither a job or any classes to go to, so nothing happens if I just stay in bed all day.
Nothing except it's not something I want - I just can't help it, urg >:(

But I'll up the dose the rest of the month and see what happens.
