Leave me a comment saying 'Interview me'.

I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity.

Update your journal with the answers to the questions. Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

1) Any idea when I'm going to get to see your webseries? What's it about?
Hehe... which one?

Let's go with the one that I've planned out the most, because lord knows there are a whole bunch of them!

Well, I'm writing it! That's the first step, right? I'm doing it for Script Frenzy, though at this point I've only got 32 pages and it's almost the end of the month. :S The plan is to write every little detail that I feel like putting down (I don't want to forget something!), and then I'll go back and cut half of it, because it's mostly pointless conversation!

I came up with the idea in first year (so 3 years ago, or so), and it's one of those isolation-on-a-ship-far-from-home stories which have apparently become really popular!

In any case, it follows something like fifteen or so survivors of a five hundred person crew (maybe a bit less) of the first manned mission to another star system. They use a faster-than-light engine which takes them out of normal space to get there. Except there's a malfunction, and they don't emerge for a thousand years (the crew is in hibernation). So only a few wake up, and they decide to go back to Earth, even though they'll arrive two thousand years after they left. Of the people that survive, some are the kind of people suited for the mission, and others aren't. There's a mother and a young daughter, a (for a lack of a better word) flight attendant, a couple of lottery winners, an inexperienced engineer...

What I'm really trying to do with the series is to take sci-fi in the direction that I want it to go. Which is to include more women (the cast is female-heavy) and to include a wide spectrum of relationships. *WINKWINKNUDGENUDGE* Right now it looks like the main character is going to hook up with a security officer. Or maybe not? There will be some *cough cough* tension. :D

The hope is to finish writing a good chunk of it by the early summer, and then try to film some of it. We'll see how that goes. In the meantime, I hope to start filming another series that I have two scripts for.

2) What is Corner Gas?
Corner Gas is a Canadian sitcom that showcases small-town prairie life. It's hilarious! Or at least, I think it's hilarious. Maybe it's a Canadian thing? But surely not, because there are Canadians who don't like it, and there are people outside Canada who do! The main character owns a gas station in Dog River, Saskatchewan (a very flat province), and the show follows his life, as well as the lives of the people around him (his lazy employee, the new girl who runs the diner next door, his unemployed best friend, his scary mother, his crazy old father (whose catchphrase is "Jackass!"), the cops (who don't have much to do, because it's a small town), etc...)

I think the whole series is on youtube (there are 6 seasons). Here's a link to the first episode!

3) Sheppard or McKay?
O_O I have to choose? Sheppard is all, "I'm a sexy warrior who will protect you!" while McKay is all, "I'm a sexy geek who will eventually come around to saving you after I blow the severity of the problem way, way out of proportion!"

This is tough... I think I'd go with... Damn, this is hard! I think on a character level, it would have to be McKay. He is simply hilarious! But on a "I think we'd get along if you were a real person" level, Sheppard.

And I think I'd prefer to meet David Hewlett more, since he is Canadian and made of win. (Kinda the same thing, I know...)

4) What's your favorite food?
I love pea soup, chili, shawarma, chocolate... potatoes. But I'll eat pretty much anything! I love garlic. Oh, and cherries! And mango. (I'll stop now...)

5) How many languages do you speak?
I speak English, some French (thank you, government of Canada!), and some German (thank you, high school!). Luckily, my sister has pretty much the same educational upbringing as myself, which is fluent English and the other two languages minus any proper grammar, and as a result we speak fluent Eng-man-ch (or some such combination) that only we two can understand. We tend to freak people out in grocery stores when we communicate that way. :)
