Small children go to kindergarten and bring back the plague. Advice on ramping up my immune system is greatly appreciated. I am going to see my mom on Friday and get her recipe for elderberry tea

I am using the MyFitnessPal website as Angel's weight loss program recommended it. It does a nice calorie count thing, if you tell it your current weight and a goal and timeframe (or desired weight loss per week) it will calculate a total number of calories to take in to achieve it. It is easy to search for foods, you can enter recipes ingredient by ingredient, tell it the number of servings, and it will calculate the calories for you. You can also search for and enter exercise, and it will say that is burned 100 calories and then add it to the amount you can take in, and subtract for the amount you eat. The calorie totals are based off your relative activity level, I told it that I am "very sedentary" so it gave me a lower calorie goal than if I worked retail and moved around. I find this helpful since I am not familiar with the points systems, so it works for me. I can also enter my weight and get a graph, as well as eventually tell it I want to maintain a weight and it will calculate a new daily calorie total (which I think will help a lot in that phase).
The site may not work for you at all, but I hadn't heard of it so I thought I would mention it. It is free with ads, and could be linked to a Facebook account though I skipped that entirely as this is a record for me, not everyone I know.

I'm not good about updating my weight though.
I use it sort of in concurrence with weight watchers in a physical notebook.
