Beachcombing

Jun 06, 2009 11:26

I decided that I needed to see the ocean, so I hopped on my bike and here I am 25 mins later :)
Now that I know how to get here, it seems like it didn't take as long as before :P

Anyway, I'm sitting on the beach (Revere) and I flopped open my bitty laptop, only to happily discover that there is an unsecured wireless connection in the air, woo! Yaarrrr matey!

Anyway, I'm also listening to Beck's "The Information", and yeah, I know: Scientology idiocy abounds, but just over the shore are the low flying planes coming in to Logan, they are almost right overhead and so it seems fitting somehow.

It's cold(!) and breezy and hardly anybody is out here. I love the approach, the last half-mile is all seasalt in the air and you can tell you're getting close, feels really good.

Uh, now just gonna roll down the length of the beach and back, then head home :)
It's really a kinda awesome little jaunt.

Oh, and lol, I saw one Dunkin Donuts directly across the street from another. Also, there is a massive swap meet market in this movie theatre parking lot. HMM, this could bear investigation one day.

What a day, already :)
Hmm, this salt air might not be so happy for the lappy, so gonna shut 'er down and get back moving again.
I see that it's not out of the realm of possibility to ride up to Salem, though I'd likely be taking the train back down afterwards, HMM.......

win, bike, city
