LOL!
Seems like I haven't updated my lj in some time. And I'm getting e-mails again, asking if I'm still alive (or froze to death at the job-center) xD (*waves to e103epsilonWell.. yes, I am still alive (more or less...) ^^°. Nothing really special happened (I'm overworked, like always, so nothing new...), apart from 3 things ( Read more... )

I find it so amusing that Alaska is the Major's version of Siberia.

My younger sister has always wanted to live in Alaska.

*lol* Well, he couldn't send his men to Siberia (= USSR) but the US.
Siberia is worse in many cases. But Alaska is still no place I would like to live. (I'm living at Germanys warmest regions. And like to have a climate that's neither too cold nor too hot ^^°°°)

It would make no sense to send them to Iceland. Alaska makes sense, because it was the other "border" to the "Iron Curtain" (the other side of the border was Germany itself). So it makes sense to ME, that there should have been people checking that the Soviets didn't try something over there.

btw: (totally not related to this, but it bothered me since yesterday night, so I have to say it xD)
What bothered me about Klaus getting BOTH ears pierced is, that in Germany only women and "sissy" men ["sissy" was the word I was looking for yesterday] get both ears pierced. It's still considered that way nowadays and given that Klaus is so very conservative, I consider it pretty out of character for him ^^° (It squicked me out, sorry xD) A German (since it seems to be different in the US) macho-man like Klaus would never ever get BOTH ears pierced.

I didn't know you were Goldilocks!

This one's too hot. This one's too cold. This one is just right.

Pfft!! I don't mind temperatures between -15° C and 40° C (because that's the temperatures we had here already), but I don't want it to be -15° or 40° for more than some days. Middle Europe is just alright with me. But Alaska... No thanks! xD

And I could never be "Goldilocks" given the fact, that I have dark brown hair xD
