So I just had a bit of a heart attack with my Yuletide assignment. I love the fandom, and I love the prompt, but, um, I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to do it justice. It's so awesome! And I want it to rock! And I am flaily now!
So a letter to my Yuletide Author.
Dear Yuletide Author,
As you can see, I am well aware that sometimes awesome prompts make people flail. Let me say this up front. I will love anything you write. I adore stories, and stories written for me are even better. Don't stress! What's more, I don't have a lot of specifications for a good story. I love plot-driven stories, and character pieces, heavy description and light description; humor and angst and horror, etc. (Though, I do usually prefer something more lighthearted for Yuletide, because it's my happy exchange. Still, angst can make me happy too.)
I included some details, but that's mostly just for inspiration. Feel free to ignore them. I want a story I can't imagine myself, a story I've not written. I write a lot, and outline even more, and have so many stories in my head. I want to see what's in your head; that's my favorite part of this exchange.
In general, I love strong women doing awesome things, bisexual women, Hawaii and the ocean and surfing, and werecreatures of all kinds.
Also, I know the Yuletide admins always say if you have questions for your author, email them and they will send the questions on so you stay anonymous. I have never used that in part because I didn't want to bother the person for whom I'm writing, but if you have a question for me, feel free to send it via them! I will answer! I won't be bothered!
Specific fandom-wise, you can see what I've written in those fandoms, and my essay on Letty/Mia from Fast and the Furious can be found
here.
Thank you so much for offering to write one (or more) of my fandoms! I can't wait to see what you write.
