1. For some reason I was so happy I managed to pass the baggage check at the check-in counter. And I still am pretty proud of myself. Thank God it wasn't overweight, and thank God I managed to make friendly conversation with the lady at the counter.
2. Was surprisingly a little overwhelmed by the overdose of Singaporean accents on the plane...this is one reason why I'll miss London.
3. In-flight TV and movie range wasn't fantastic (had to re-watch 30 Rock and TBBT episodes) but SQ made up for that with music: 1 "Time Flies" Oasis album plus the NGHFB album!
4. That straight flight felt a lot shorter than expected. Granted, partly because it lasted 12.5 hours instead of 14, but still.
5. First dinner was overpriced prawn mee. Sure it only costs the equivalent of £2.50 (which can only get you a Tesco Meal Deal in London) but those portions are still small imho.
6. Couldn't sleep, woke up at 5 AM and now sitting in the new balcony. I like balconies. Also it's sheltered so it's not wet despite the rain which has been pouring for more than 2 hours...
Well Melissa, welcome home. Sort of.
