I did the impossible today.
I cleaned out my refrigerator.
I know, I'm impressed, too. It was a harrowing deed and many a moldy tupperware were pitched into the hell fires of the plastic trash bags. And lo it was discovered that a container of milk had actually produced a rather fragrant block of cheese. The Pot-of-What-Was-Probably-Once-Chili proved to be the most vicious as a rather disgusting green goop was all that remained. The refrigerator has been washed down with vinegar and might be again in the morning.
The very tentative plan (depending on the weather and how much sleep I get) is to hit the Farmer's Market tomorrow morning to restock the now clean refrigerator. It has been an embarrassingly long time since I bought fresh fruit and veg.
On a happy note: my not-really-my-aunt-but-she-was-my-aunt's-partner-for-13-years-so-i-consider-her-my-aunt is getting married! She and her partner are getting married next Tuesday in Chicago ^_^ I feel I should send them a gift. I have no idea what they need, though, or would like since I haven't seen my Aunt in, oh, 7 years? And I have actually never met her partner, though she seems like a really neat lady. Perhaps while I'm at work tomorrow I shall scout out some things. It is the Jazz Festival tomorrow in town but it is promising to rain most of the day so we'll see how busy it actually is.
How sad is it that I have lived in this town for nearly 5 years and I have never been to the Jazz Fest? I'm always working and by the time I get off work, I'm usually too tired to go scope it out. Perhaps tomorrow I will. Lots of things sort-of planned for tomorrow :P
happy-making,
ramblefest
