Personal: Australian Dog Breeds
Paintings in gouache of some Australian dog breeds, copied from photographs.
Part of my work for this year's project. One of the characters may or may not be the main protagonist's dog. Given the theme of my work is recurringly Australian, I decided to research some of their breeds. These are, in this order, an Australian Cattle Dog, an Australian Shepherd, and an Australian Kelpie. Most Australian dogs are in some way or another related to herding work, and are a mix of breed between European herding breeds and Australia's own dingo.
The colours in the scan are considerably lighter than the original paintings.
