I've never read the books, I watched just today and I liked it. I thought it was cute. I did see the whole thing of how it could be religious mainly b/c I'm christian and last night at dinner someone mentioned about how people were relating it that way.

I've had the books for several years now, although I never read them until about 3 years ago. My mom mentioned the other day that she would like to see the movie (and so would I). And just like with Lord of the Rings, she was shocked when I told her the movie is from a book.

She don't read much. I think the only books I've ever seen her read are the bible and cookbooks...

You know what, when I first read the books(so far i've only read the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the Silver Chair), not once did I pick up on its christian roots.

I don't know whether it was because I had always been surrounded by christianity or because it just wasn't that important to me, but I enjoyed the books purely as an adventure.

Although I always thought something peculiar about the Sons of Adam, Daughters of Eve thing. Just never but 2 and 2 together.

I've read the books and I understood it was a Christian allegory, although I'm not Christian myself. I thought it was just beautifully written though. Ahhh. *nostalgic love floats around*
