My family went to go see Chronicles of Narnia today.
I'm surprised none of them had at least heard somewhere that the CoN books are a Christian allegory. That's like...one of the most popular book report topics out there.
After it was over...
Sister 1: Ok....Mom...that movie was definately about God
Sister 3: It was?!
1: You already saw it and you didn't pick up on it? All this giving up an innocent life in place of those who had done wrong...c'mon.
3: I didn't know!
Mom: Katie did you know?
Me: I've kinda known for....years.
Well anyways....everyone gives CoN a thumbs up. Even Vickie and fantasy isn't her thing. I felt really nostalgic watching it. I'm the only one who has actually read any CoN books. The library in my old grade school had all seven but it was the first two and "The Last Battle" that I devoured over and over. It's been years since I picked up a copy.
I should pick up a copy of the "Big Book" version that has all seven stories in it sometime. I think my youngest sister would like to read them.
