So I was right, BJ did get offered an internship in Boston at the Christian Science Monitor and he accepted it. Which was a really hard thing for me to hear at first, I had gotten my hopes up more than I thought about living with him in Houston this summer. And then he told me that he had withdrawn his acceptance and was going to come with me after all. It was so amazingly good to hear that not only were we going to be living together in a few weeks, but that he was also really happy about not doing the internship. I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I had made him miss out on an opportunity to better his career, but he doesn't want to be a reporter, so this really would not have been the experience he needs. So I am back to being really excited about this summer, which is making it exceedingly hard to get any work done. I am so ready to be done with school!!!!
But I had spring break this past week, which was good. I got really sick the week before so I was pretty miserable for the start, but I slowly got better. Monica, Jessie, and I went to Chicago and Decatur for a few days each. Jessie had never been to the midwest and Monica lives in Decatur, and I had been there before once. It was fun, we saw some parts of Chicago that I hadn't before. And Monica's parents spoiled us at her house. And now our fridge is packed full of delicious Indian food. mmm...
And then Jeff came down last night. He had his first few days of work this past week, and he is loving his job. I am so happy for him. And we found out that his work is only a very short distance from where I used to live in Hopkinton, which is very strange. I can't wait to go back there and see the town again. It was good to see him again, we had a good time. We went out to eat with Katie and the roomies, and it was so great to spend some serious time with Katie again. She is even more insane than I remember, but always a lot of fun and laughs.
And I found out my mom is moving into a bigger apartment, so that is exciting. I can't wait to see it. She wants me to help her do her taxes, which I think is hilarious. I have done my own taxes for years and she is my MOTHER and wants me to help her do them. I'm glad I'm so prepared for the real world...WHICH IS TAKING TOO DAMN LONG TO GET HERE!!!!
I have senioritis up to my ears!
spring break,
