STEVE AND HOT HOT HEAT KICK ASS

Jul 15, 2005 01:06

I MAY NOT HAVE TOUCHED HIS HAIR, BUT I TOUCHED HIS FOOT, AND I TOUCHED HIS HAND.

So without further ado, I bring you Hot Hot Heat in all their fabulous glory:

*fabulous glory this way*

One short video...Ladies and Gentleman

Oh my god isn't his hair the most amazing thing you've ever seen!?! About 90% do not have zoom; we were right up against the wall, it was fantastic. Steve and Dante DeCaro kept coming forward and standing on the ledge. One hour and fifteen minutes of non-stop jumping...the crowd was--er--very energetic, to say the least. Actually, my only complaint was that (besides not being able to secure Eisley's signature) sometimes the crowd was singing so loudly it was hard to hear Steve! But it wasn't horrible or anything, people were excited, can you blame 'em?

The old songs were SO EFFING GREAT: Talk to Me, Dance With Me was indescribable...Bandages, Oh Goddamit, This Town, SOS, Get In or Get Out, Naked in the City Again, No Not Now, and even Le Le Low from Knock Knock Knock. I love to be reminded of how awesome Make Up the Breakdown is.

Then there were the songs from Elevator, it was surreal--they played them all except Soldier in a Box and Shame On You. Opened with Jingle Jangle, sang You Owe Me an IOU in the encore. Come to think of it, they managed to play 95% of the songs on both their CDs...

As for Eisley and World Leader Pretend, they were fantastic: I missed WLP's Bang Theory though! But they all looked like HOBBITS, the guitarist was a Dom clone! The really cool guy in back of us was commenting on that at the same time we were, and so we had a LOTR nerd bond moment and whatnot. Anyway, I met them after the show, signed my CD and gave me a free poster and all. World Leader Pretend is cool. As for Eisley, they sound even better live because it's a bit more rough. Those two girls have the most perfect
voices ever.

So anyway, I got to touch his hand. I was very happy. He had on a really cool scarf. But then the guitarist complained that everyone was telling Steve they loved him..."What about me?!" Well, they are all extremely lovable if you ask me.

THEY EFFING ROCK.
