One Week!
I should be going to bed. I'm bleary eyed and exhausted, after several days of going to bed after 1am and getting up super early...like, 5:20 and 6:20am...But instead I am writing this blog entry!
This morning we met Pastor Soon for our final counseling session, and then we went to practice our song at the church. We ooo'd and aaaa'ed at the DVD Christine Chang sent us of photographs. We designed the name cards. Then he went home to pack and I came home to unpack, and get ready for tonight's wedding prep!
A bunch of girls came over and helped make wedding favors, cut out leaves for the wish tree, make the arch for the wedding, put candles in their holders, make the chair sashes, etc. It was all "simple" work, but there was a lot to do and it took longer than I expected! I'm so thankful for all of them and for the fun (at least I had!) in putting things together. I'm super excited for the arch that Annie and Jane put together with me...It looks better than I imagined! We left it in tact because it looks so good, it would be sad to dismantle it. Hopefully we can find a way to transport it to the site without taking it apart.
Jenni made some delicious baked goods, I shared some cake, Jess made awesome mixed drinks--It was really a good time! Definitely exhausted now though.
Tomorrow Junwen and I will go pick up his family from the airport. I've been nervous about this meeting for so long, however, I think right now I don't feel any nerves because I have been so busy doing prep, and am so tired..it doesn't seem real! We've been waiting so long for this day, it was always "so far into the future", but now it is here! I really can't believe it!!!
