The Getty
Yesterday I took off work so Mike and I could visit the Getty Center. It was breath-taking! We easily hopped on the 761 metro and it dropped us off right in front of it. Then we took the tram up. I had my reservations..since it's a museum, I wasn't sure how much Mike and I would enjoy it, but it really was spectacular. Mostly because of the architecture and the gardens and the view. It's on a hill/mountain that overlooks the city of LA. It was too smoggy to get a good view of the snow-capped mountains in the east, and it was hard to tell what was cloud and what was ocean, but it was neat nonetheless. There were tons of pretty fountains everywhere too, and we took TONS of pictures. We grabbed a bite on the way home and watched Lost with Jenni. Aww, Desmond.
Today was a more "relaxing" day...aka we didn't do much. We went to Target with Jenni and met up with Marissa and Kate. I didn't find a purse. :-( But Jenni found lots of Easter stuff for Jay and Mike got some food stuff. Then we came back for lunch in Westwood and we all ate at different places except Mike and Jenni who both had Chipotle...so the rest of us joined them there. On my way to get my Red Mango yogurt for lunch, I heard people yelling "Jim! Jim!" outside of the theatre (they were having a premier), so I looked and saw the back of Jim Carry's head! I guess that's my first star encounter, no matter how lame it might have been.
After lunch we just came home and have been sitting on our computers the rest of the afternoon...I took a nap...and in a bit we'll watch Titan AE. Tomorrow I think I want to go to the beach after church though or something...and I should really do my homework so I don't feel so guilty.
