Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given. Since I did this with two different people, I'm posting two sets of 5.
From Kate:
1. Blueberry pancakes. So, apparently I make good blueberry pancakes. This one time, Janel and I came up to spend the night at Kate's house the night after I went blueberry-picking at my boss's farm. I brought two pints of freshly-picked blueberries and made pancakes with them the following morning for breakfast. My only regret is I didn't know how to make a sauce with them, since syrup seemed like such a waste on them.
2. Cider. I don't really drink beer, so when it's available I'll drink cider, since it's of comparable alcohol content and comes in bottles that look like beer. Anyway, the first time I went up to Baton Rouge and met Kate's friends, her friend Riley had some Woodchuck pear cider, and he gave me a bottle to try. Since then, I've been hooked; stuff's like crack, man.
3. Soul Calibur IV. This is where I tell Kate she should learn to block. XD We played A LOT of Soul Calibur, along with the lots of beer/cider. Like 5-6 of us, constantly passing controllers around and getting our asses handed to us, or Kate/Scott/Brad/myself trying to beat the Tower of Souls thing.
4. Europe. Kate's my Euro-buddie. I think we're both hopelessly in love with Europe, despite it being horribly expensive for us to go see it. Instead, we reminisce about it and scheme about how best to get back there. Travel would be so much easier if I had money.
5. Photography. I take lots of pictures whenever I travel somewhere, and I think I tend to do pretty well at it. I've also tried doing people, but it seems that I do much better with landscapes, architecture, and plants than with living people.
And now for Janel's 5:
1. Knives. I own lots of pointy metal bits. I tend to have anywhere from 1 to 3 on me at any time, and I've been known to whip them out whenever necessary to open a package, screw down a bolt, or perform some other task for which they're designed. It's like being a walking tool box.
2: EVE. My great addiction, EVE-online. Being the political junkie I am, EVE thrills me not just because it's an MMO based around flying internet spaceships, but also the political powerplays that go on behind the scenes and drive the major powerblocs through the game.
3: lolcats. Another internet weakness of mine, I collect lolcats and spam them at people I know. Though I can appreciate the old standbys (I can has cheezburger?) I prefer more sophisticated and refined image macros; namely things I can hurl at the other side of a forum war.
4: Troy Denning (no, really). I fucking hate Troy Denning with the power of a thousand burning suns. He has ruined numerous story arcs in the Star Wars universe that I would've otherwise liked, as well as several Forgotten Realms titles. He seems to muck up every setting I grow very attached to.
5: Warhammer (40k). I used to play Warhammer 40,000, the sci-fi version of the tabletop classic Warhammer. I'm a massive Tau fanboy, and own something like 3000 points worth (a very large single army, since most fielded are either 1500 points or 2000 points). I still like to play, but have trouble finding time, as well as a place, to play. This was back before I played EVE, however, so I had a lot more free time to paint them than I do now.
