Yesterday I was recognized in a ceremony with other Brookhaven students who had received honors of one sort or another. I was nominated by my department for a scholarship from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and was awarded a $255 grant. It is a drop in the bucket for what I need right now, but it will pay for a couple of classes ( Read more... )

School is a killer this week and I hope I am not lugging books along with my laptop when I head to the Pacific NW next week for spring break. I would rather use my time visiting with friends and getting some photography in, but if I have to work on Municipal GIS projects then so be it. Today I had a totally frustrating day in the lab and class as nothing seems to work in ArcGIS the way the tutorials and books said they should, so will start over and see if I somehow missed steps.
