When you gonna ring it?

Long time no post again....

I've been a busy Gillian what with the working the overtime and the evil sickness that has been bothering me this week, and since I usually skim LJ when I'm slacking off at work (just a little) I usually forget to post. Bad me.

I sent myself an email quite a few weeks ago telling myself to post this MSN conversation btwn me and Kate, b/c of the hilarity, so here you go:

Kes Atmos... I have magical breasts says:
allo

Gillian says:
how do you do magic kate?

Kes Atmos... I have magical breasts says:
with my breasts

Kes Atmos... I have magical breasts says:
By exposing them

Kes Atmos... I have magical breasts says:
it's a line from scrubs

Gillian says:
haha...

Kes Atmos... I have magical breasts says:
:)

Gillian says:
clearly my sentence needed a comma, as I was asking how you were doing
example: How do you do, Magic Kate? But the other way gets a way FUNNIER answer

Kes Atmos... I have magical breasts says:
ha ha ha. Hee hee hee. Oh, that's fun

Gillian says:
I know... that so needs to be an example of how to punctuate properly

And now it is!! Whee!

In other exciting news, I'm meeting up with my friend Heather from Ptbo today! She hasn't been to T.O. the whole time I've lived here, so I am mucho de excited. Hopefully we will not melt in the evil sun :) We are gonna have a nice lunch, and I may or may not accompany her to her firend's art show....depends on if I have to go to the mall and help Neil buy a razor. Gaa.

Also I may stop by my aun't house instead, as apparently she called my dad the other day asking for my phone number, as she is cleaning out her house (just sold it, and will eventually move to a condo). and has some stuff to give me. It will be weird when this house is sold; it's been in the family for like 50 years. My aunt realized she couldn't afford to keep it up after my grandma died a few years ago though. My parents and other aunt and uncle are sort of happy it's being sold though, because they get part of the money from the sale. Mom and dad are planning to pay off theirs debts and get their kitchen remodelled. Yay them! They totally deserve a nice new kitchen. Apparently they want to get a super cool pretty stove like the one we have.Sorry I am too lazy to flip it.

See:

There is actually a reason why I have a picture of my stove.....I was supposed to send it to the landlord so she could see what she bought for us, and I think I may have forgotten to do that...yes I rule the school!

So general update--work is going well. I've started doing software testing for one of the big applications our group is developing, and apparently I am doing pretty well so far. Yay me! I may go for some training for this, and if this group can't keep me on after my internship is up, I will likely be able to get another job within the bank or outside of it doing this, hopefully for the big bucks. WOOT. I don't know if this is what I want to do forever, but it would be a good start on paying back the evil OSAP peeps. My plan is as follows:

1. Get good job after internship is up
2. make big bucks (or at least more than now)
3. Don't change much in terms of rent, lifestyle etc for a few years
4. pay off loans uber quick
5. monies for good/big stuff later!

Neil and I are doing OK too, but don't get to see each other much, which is sort of depressing. His evil job is making him work lots of evil hours. I'm not sure if he'll stick with it...he is not allowed to quit, but he is thinking of looking for a better job eventually. Unfortunately, I guess he should try to stay there for a while though, just so it doesn't look like he is always changing jobs and can't stick with one on his resume. He is nicely making more of an effort for us to have time together though, and perhaps one day, will always give me an opinion on whether people can come over...grr.

Went to a big bank symposium at their evil training centre at STEELES AND PHARMACY... Who goes out there I ask?--on the TTC it takes 2 hours to get there from my house! Luckily I scammed a ride there, and a ride to the subway on the way back. It was pretty good...a bunch of sessions by people doing different roles in the Technology and Solutions side of BMO (Business Analysts, project Managers, Quality assurance)...saw some interesting sessions, ate tasty IFL food (they can get good food delivered to the middle of nowhere apparently) and got some nice gifty things for going (nice backpack, 128mb USB key-Sweet!) Had to live through a evil and very long speech from this Olympic skiier guy, who was totally full of himself and had to live through every ski race and injury he ever had, with commentary. I can see how his speech was supposed to apply to our business and be inspirational, he was just so pompus I couldn't get over it....

Must go and get ready now, and call Coralee to see if she is around and wants to see Heather today too.
