I know what you mean by tweaking (I think) but if I remember that there's always the fall, and that this training cycle is already a win if I count all the things I've learned, I can relax.
3:10 if I'm sub 1:30, 3:15 if not, or if the weather turns really poor.
This marathon cycle has taken a life of its own. The "No Surrender, No Retreat" response has kicked in. Those 96 seconds, they call to me from the buildings and the trees, and they mock me for my lack of strength and desire. I'm not going to be denied by two bathroom breaks, this time it's all or nothing...
Yeah, that's probably why I'm tweaking a little already. No pressure, right?
So do you want to take a shot at 3:10, too? Or is 3:15 your upper limit?
there's a pretty drastic comfort level difference between running between 7:20-30 and 7:10-20. Probably has to do with that lactate turnpoint thing that I've read so much about...
If I have a big break through in the next few weeks I might take a shot at it, but right now the plan is to run in the mid 7:20s and hope nothing goes wrong. :)
