Hit the Half Time and caught the Tim Malloys last night with Molly.
Apparently there has been a change in the lineup? And they seemed to be making an active effort to stay sober through the first set.
I still think they play most of the traditional stuff way too fast. There's lyrics that I'd rather hear that just get lost in the blur.
They did so some really kick ass instrumentals and sounded much tighter than I remember them. And they covered a Waits tune which I thought well of.
Good to suck soda, wolf popcorn, and smoke at the same time.
Spent a couple of hours more at the forge earlier and feel it today.
I've been meaning to make more blades and for some reason have gotten stuck on making a dirk. The blade is still rough, out to 13" or so, and starting to come to shape. For some reason I feel I'm fighting being a klutz, maybe this is how I'm working that out: a project that's a bit more than I've done for awhile so when I go back to other things it'll feel easier.
I'll probably finish the forge work on it today or tomorrow and then do some more routine things.
I'll be around Sunday if anyone wants to come over and play.
