Took my dad to the hospital again..and tomorrow will be 30 days
about a month ago, my father had a heart attack. he was fine and no damage was done. at about 2:45 Monday morning, i took him to the emergency room. he had been having stomach pains for a couple of days.he thought it was indigestion. well it got bad so i took him to the hospital. he has..and i know i will spell this wrong. dyfickulatitus, an infection in his intestines. they also found a mass. he has been in the hospital since getting interveinous antibiotics. he will start oral ones tomorrow. they said it looks like the swelling and inflamation is going down and his stomach isnt tender to the touch anymore. it was so bad he was getting morphine shots about every two or three hours. doing better now and the doctors think the mass may just be part of the inflamation. he has to check back in two weeks. hopefully he is coming home tomorrow. i love my parents VERY much, and i am really drained. but it looks like all is going well. tomorrow i will have 30 days clean and sober. with all thats been going on..its been tough. but i would much rather be where i am now and be able to help than to be a drunken mess.
