Badiou's world, from today. When Zizek starts using numerals it means he's freestyling Badiou. The one itself is the count as one as in the number one, a whole.

Enviro thinking isn't outside capitalism is what he's saying - it's at odds with, is tensional to capitalism.

Maybe. Can I skip the set theory?

I don't necessarily agree that environmental thought is 'outside' of capitalism, but it is an interesting point of departure for thinking about the relationship (or tension, if you will).

Some people do see it as 'outside' though - as part of a utopian desire for an alternative. I think that this is that counter cultural, new age thing - it's there, even if Zizek doesn't like it and sees it as problematic.

I could discuss this for a couple of paragraphs in something. That could be cool.

It's *all* set theory.

No - I agree that the eco is utopian desire for the alternative. But when it becomes read - which it must, if it's to mean anything - then must be part of the same One, a One that is well-nigh entirely capitalist.

Just out of interest, what do you mean by 'read' - when ecology (as in environmental thinking and praxis) becomes read?
