IT's been running for over twenty years and is one of the most internationally recognized anime series, while having one of the highest grossing sales of DVD, LD, and VHS as well as merchandise. It is so popular that the very word "Gundam" is synonymous with mecha and has its place in the dictionary. Yoshiyuki Tomino is a godlike genius among us pitiful mortals, as he is able to capture the imaginations of so many and so varied with his detailed machines and complex heroes. And you call it shit?
