well, now after being completely hosed by my former roommate, not finding another one, and owing twice as much in rent as I just got paid, I will now have my first (and i'm sure last) eviction on my record.
things here have worked out in the worst possible way they ever could, however I am very glad to see the last of this place.
life lesson: don't get pressured into removing your ex from the lease. he's just as responsible as you are.
