16-year-old blogger comes out to his parents, who enroll him in Refuge. He manages to post the "rules" of the program. Yet another example of people trying to create their own theme park where the laws of nature are discarded for their own fantasy ideal.
Poor kid.
I notice the 'tyranny' tag is immediately becoming one of my favorites. Ironically, I think I got my fundamental revulsion for enforced denial while reading books about Christians who'd escaped from the godless Soviet Union. The idea of a regime that could try to deny reality to suit itself offended me long before I got around to reading 1984 in high school. And now it's now the Christians in this country who seem most willing to practice enforced denial of reality.
