Does my bum look big in this?

This could be the last post I do for a while. Much to my annoyance all the wi-fi in my building are now protected so I can't piggy back any more, and its taking an age to get the phone line sorted again - the joys of flatmate negotiations and weird landladies I'm afraid.

I'm currently at the parents and relaxing post-Louise's wedding. What a beautiful day!!!! I've known the girl for 9 years and I have never seen her look so lovely or so happy. Douglas couldn't have looked any more in love either. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm so happy for her! I saw a few people from my high school as Douglas's younger brother, Allan, was in my year at school and they have some mutual friends - which was pretty cool and surprisingly not awkward given we hadn't seen each other in nearly a decade. Sarah made a gorgeous bridemaid and, as Dave hadn't been able come with me to the wedding, she and I danced all night together. Also got to see Sharon and Kev together as a proper couple for the first time and they are freakishly good together - I know its a bit weird for me to be surprised but I've known them for a long time and never really pictured them together.  I have some fab photos of all of us I'll have to post once I have the internet sorted.

I've been trying to think of everything that I need to update on but its been so long there's far too much to cover!!!! So here's the jist of what else I've been up to in the last couple of months - not including Louise's wedding and hen night etc.:

1) Dave - yup still very happy and together, actually we appear to have reached the 'my parents want to meet you' stage which is both wonderful and terrifying. Along with another couple, Lizzie and Ken, we're currently going through every episode of Dr Who from the very first episodes in the 60s with William Hartnell.

2) Work - busy busy busy. Dunno how much people on my flist know about my job, but I work in the Government and we have just had a new party gain power here in Scotland. They're learning how we work and we're learning about what they want from us. Its all kinda interesting. Also we have a new Division Head so it looks like we'll be restructured again - groan! Although I like the new guy better than our previous boss who no one trusted an inch.  Finally I have a job interview for a post at Save the Children on 29th June - wish me luck!!!

3) Amnesty International - I'm organising a wine tasting for the Stop Violence Against Women campaign on 13th July, its going really well. I managed to get the room and the wine tasting guy really cheap so we should be able to make a fair bit of cash for Amnesty. Also I'm in a play at the Edinburgh World Justice Festival (http://www.ewjf.org.uk) on 26th July. I provide the voice of the evil dictators and oppressors in the play 'Voices in the Dark'.

4)  Textures - I actually have about 5 more textures waiting on my pooter at home and no way of uploading them at the mo. Tis a pain in the itinerant. I imagine I'll make more before I can get proper access again. Oh well, something to look forward to I guess.

5) Other stuff - Life is good and my friends are fab (Hiya guys!!!! ;D)
