A few times now people have asked me whether I could write a texture making tutorial. It's not something I ever considered simply because I like to experiment so my textures tend to have a long and convoluted evolution and millions of layers. But having some time free today I thought I'd give it a go.

Here's the resulting icon sized textures:

:oD Thanks. I just love experimenting. Although a guy at my work has given me some CDs of tutorials which I'm hoping to try out soon so I may have some 'well behaved' textures coming up.

LOL! Pea (the hamster) is far to soppy to bite anyone, but she does make nests in the strangest places. She's trying to make one on the windowsill at the mo - very odd!

Thanks for the tut ... I've done textures but this is sooo simple ... never got the idea! :-)
