Update on placement progress...

After stressing way to much I had my intermediate interview last week. It turns out I am doing all of the right things, and as long as I don't do anything stupid I am on track to pass placement.
At times it is really hard when I read client notes, and meet them with my mentor. Some of them never had much of a chance given all the crap thrown at them from an early age, and no real let up in adult life either. The good side is that there are clients who have turned the negative into positive and giving life a real go, and starting to enjoy the journey to recovery.
I have done one injection so far which went ok, and made lots of tea for mentor when crises happen (not very ofetn though!)
The team are lovely and very supportive. The Psychiatrist is lovely, wise and has a sense of humour. I have attended a meeting with two social workers, a member of team on placement, teacher and parents. It was all very positive, and common sense seemed to enter into it. It is good to know that the services can work with people :-)
Overall I am very happy with placement, but the travelling is making me a lot more tired than usual. The next trick is to actually do some work on my assignments.....
