I am so glad that I no longer work in financial services....
I thought it was time to update Livejournal after a long abscence. On Saturday I went to a Hag (Hen and Stag night combined) and we watched a burlesque show. It was very good and all seemed to enjoy it. I have my bridesmaid dress and now I just need to get shoes to match.
In other news Oscar is gradually becoming slightly better behaved, but does take steps backwards just to keep us on our toes. We have a dog walker coming in while I am on placement, which seems to be working out well. I am sure she has him better trained than we do :-( Not really surprising as she has 5 dogs for the last umpteen years, and I am a mere 1st time dog owner. 4th training class tomorrow, so we shall see how we get on.
Placement is going well, and everyone is really nice. My mentor is very nurturing and chatty. It is a bit of a shock to the system having to travel etc, but I think I will learn a lot. So far I have met two clients who are eally nice, and able to laugh about how they were when ill. It is good to see some success stories. One lady who I met on my first placement was in waiting room today to see Psychiatrist. When I first met her she was very poorly, and did have a bit of a rant at me when I tried to help. She is now well and stable, which is lovely to see. It is great when the system works :-)
I cannot stress enough how relieved I am not to be an evil minion of financial services...
Everything else is going ok, apart from needing lemsip :-(
