I am beginning to hate my job.
Okay, the semester is winding down at my school and we are getting ready for Summer Semester. Everyone's schedules are going to change and the head of the Library is allowing us to decide what we want to work. Three other people wrote out their schedules on the calender that we have and I decided that I would write out mine. We only have to work thirty six hours during the summer because the school gives us half days on Friday.
I wrote out my schedule out so I would work nine hour shifts Monday-Thursday and have Fridays off. Two of the three other people have done the same. I tell my boss what I have done and I get in trouble for it. She says that I can have a few Fridays off but not all of them because it wouldn't be fair to everyone else. I tell her that I have worked every Friday since I started working here at Brenau. She replies back that everyone works Fridays and it wouldn't be fair to give me the time off. Yet when the other two who have asked for Fridays off tell her their schedule, she tells them it's fine. Not to worry about it. We are covered for Fridays.
ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not fair! I have only called out sick two days out of the entire year and that was only because I had the flu and couldn't move five inches without puking. I have almost two weeks of vacation that I have not used. I work any Saturday, for no overtime, that she asks of me. Why the hell does she give those two Fridays off and I get screwed over!

I'm just going to work my normal forty hour a week schedule and let my boss get in trouble for not giving me any time off. I am tried of her complaining that we have no coverage and making me be the one to make up for it.
