hannahrorlove wrote a lovely remix of my Something Rich and Strange. Forms, Functions (Keep the Customer Satisfied Remix) delves into the mind of Tia Dalma/Calypso, what it's like for her to live trapped in a woman's body, and some of the ways she finds freedom. Also includes some interesting Dalma/Jack backstory.
djarum's Salt (Elements Collide Remix) is a poignant take on penknife's Salt, examining Jack's loneliness and hinting at J/W/E. NC-17, J/W, bloodplay.
Some BtVS/Angel recs, for anyone who's a fellow Scoobie:
The Wild Iris (Resurrection Remix) is probably my favorite of all the remixes I've read. It's exquisite writing, it utterly transforms the original--AND it brings back Tara. That takes a little handwaving, but Tara's POV here is amazing--her reactions to her resurrection, to the people she knew, are so pitch-perfect and affecting. Tara/Faith, Spike/Buffy, PG, set post-series.
Empty City (The Into Dust Remix) is a powerful, angsty post-NFA story. Buffy comes to a post-apocalyptic LA to find that Angel is human, souled--and can't remember his time as a vampire. Angel/Buffy, R.
