The rain continues. It's not that we're having torrential downpours for the most part. It's just incredibly persistent. So much so that places are starting to flood. The water table is high and there's just nowhere for the water to go. Fortunately, we don't expect our house to flood, but it's making it a bit of a pain getting to and from work. Some roads are closed due to flooding, which means everybody is being funnelled down the same few roads because they're the non-flooded ones.
I suppose I should be grateful that teaching has finished for this term otherwise that would have been distinctly not-fun. I'm currently roughing out plans for next term and doing what other work comes my way.
Writing is going well at present. I feel pretty on the ball, which may well not last, but I'm willing to take advantage of whilst I can. I have some posts pre-prepared for stories even though I don't need them just yet. With the holidays coming up, that's never an entirely bad thing.
