Christmas Filk!

Avast and beware! I am hereby hoisting the yellow flag of Contagion. Much to my dismay, I have been afflicted with the insidious 'Christmas Filk' pestilence currently sweeping the ranks of The_Black_Pearl_Sails! There seems no cure but to let the disease run its course, although dosing sufferers with rum seems to bring some relief. Alas, to have a good ship's surgeon!
Thus I present for your perusal ... Pirate Caroles! Management is not responsible for the aspiration of foodstuffs either liquid or solid. ;-)

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But rum is so delightful
And since we've no place to go,

I hear merry-bells a-ringing,
But Gibbs is also singing;
Will someone please knock him cold?

When we finally say goodnight
How we'll hate going out in the storm.
So why don't we just start a fight,
And that way we'll stay nice and warm!
Happy hour is slowly dying,
And, mates, we're still good-bying,

With plans that we've laid
To pillage and raid,

On the poopdeck we can build a stick man,
And pretend that he's that fool, Gillette:
We'll have fun annoying the Lieutenant,
'Till we heave him o'er the side and leave him wet!

Waves a-roll, froth is spilling;
We'll frolic and play, the piratical way,
