National Blog Posting Month - Nov 15 & 16
Who's your favorite director/s? What are your favorite movie/s by them and why do you love those movies? by itsanonyx
I can't say I've ever gone into a movie/TV based on the director. There are a few directors who (in my opinion, anyway) seem to knock it out of the park, every time... but putting the praise (or blame) on the director is about as ridiculous as putting it on the coach of [insert sports team HERE]. The coach may be in charge, but it's still up to the rest of the team to make the thing work, etc.
That said..
+ I'm always happy any time I see Johnathan Frakes' name pop up in credits. Generally for Trek, but also The Librarians.
+ I love the three Ocean's movies by Stephen Soderbergh
+ Stephen Sommers has put out quite a few good ones (in my opinion) - The Mummy; The Mummy Returns; The Scorpion King; Van Helsing; GI Joe Rise of Cobra
+ Even though he's now problematic as Hell.. Joss Whedon. I mean.. Avengers & Serenity. And Dr Horrible.
+ I'm starting to notice a pattern with directors named Stephen... but I mean; Stephen Spielberg. JAWS; Raiders; Temple of Doom; Crusade; Jurassic Park; Hook; also honorable mention for the Executive Producing of my beloved seaQuest DSV
+ JJ Abrams - Yes.. the Hail Mary punt of Rise of Skywalker was... well, I didn't OMG!love it, but I sure didn't hate it. The Last Jedi was god-damn beautiful. And what he did with the Star Trek reboot. SWEET LORD. ♥
+ There are a couple of directors out of India who I also love, but again: I'm going for the actors and the plot, not who directed it.
+ I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting someone obvious...

no-prompt Filler Day
I really need to finish Day 05's WHYFOR all the castings, so I can put together an actual proper entry for the LoM challenge. I also need to be a better Team Mod across all the landcomms and participate more.
I USED TO BE SO GOOD AT LANDCOMMING. D:
Okay, short post for today because I have a short work day and need to get as much done as possible before I leave early to get bizarra to a doctor's appointment!
Hopefully I'll get back on track, tomorrow.. but this week has also been just weird.
