Well, I have been SUPER busy. I have never been this busy in my life before. I am at school about 50+ hours every week, well that's because of the whole 9 classes and 3 labs/31 credit hours thing, but man, it feels like I never leave! I like school and all, but it's also nice to see daylight too! Anyway, soon the exams are going to start rolling in... the first one is on my birthday, lovely. All of my profs are great... they have been around chiropractic and the school for so long that they have their teaching down to an art... some of them have even written their own textbooks, so they know how to present all of the info very well. And that's a good thing for me, bc it's a lot of info in a short amount of time. Anyway, I have learned a lot so far and it is only has been the first 2 weeks of the tri. I started learning how to palpate individual bones and muscles, so if anyone ever visits, I may need some practice, haha... (palpating is NOT adjusting). Weekends have turned into time to catch up on studying mainly. Yesterday I was supposed to go to a potluck for dinner, but I was too tired to go, and it was only at 5pm... but it seriously felt like 11pm. I was supposed to go to a bonfire too, but we had some nasty storms and tons of wind... so yeah. I found out today that hardly anyone went bc of the storms and from being tired... haha, so I'm not the only grandma... we're all still getting used to this schedule, I guess.

Today I met up with people at Palmer for a group project in my ethics class, it's not due til December, but I'd rather get it done now. Tonight is memorize appendix B night for neuroanatomy... appendix a wasn't bad bc it was mainly definitions, but now this on is actually in paragraphs.

Soo every TWR I eat lunch with the girls in the cafeteria... it's actually good food and pricing is fine. Anyway, I was standing in line and the guy in front of me turned around and goes, "Hey, did you go to Eastern?" It turned out it was one of my lab parnters from Eastern from genetics and organic! Haha. I thought he looked familiar when I saw him a different day. He started two years before me, so he is in his 7th tri now... so at least I have someone to bother now if I have questions or whatever. He loves it at Palmer, so that is a good sign, haha. He starts clinic next tri, so maybe I'll switch and have him as my intern then for adjustments. Anyway, small world... I don't think anyone else from EIU goes here.

Oh and guess what?! It turns out one of my friends here has an african grey... Tequila can have a buddy! She also has a few other parrots too. Oh! And then one of the girls that I probably spend the most time with on breaks and whatnot turns out to have been in color guard... haha... wow. She's from Texas though, so I don't know how different it is. I just thought that was interesting. A lot of the other girls I talk to were in volleyball... it feels like freshman year at EIU all over, when I hung around with volleyball people all the time and did intramurals with them... now these girls want me to do intramurals, but I dunno... we'll see.

Palmer is sooo different from undergrad though. Remember the first time when you were in college and looked back at high school and realized how different it was and how it felt like it was so long ago? Yeah, that's what it feels like. Everything is just different... and you're expected of so much more, not just grades... both inside and outside of school. I like the change though, just like someone would say, "I liked high school, but wouldn't want to go back"... the same works here, I liked undergrad, but wouldn't want to go back... school-wise... I'll still visit and whatnot when I have time... haha... I do still miss guard though. Palmer is a change, but I like it!!

Well, I better start studying... I'm drinking vanilla chai tea right now and it is amazing... just thought I'd share that. Well, I'll update again... sometime.
