Well, I may as well update before things start getting too crazy. Orientation was yesterday... just about alll day. There was so much information thrown at us, so many sheets to sign, so many things to read. I found out my board exams *currently* cost $2,725... the first 4 are $425 each, the last one is $1025... I think my jaw dropped when they said that, along with others. So, kinda funny, but not... a faculty member at orientation even informed us of educational psychologists that help students with depression, time management issues, etc... because of the heavy work load... 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week... eek, that's a great thing to say to a student on their first day! I think I will be fine though, right now all I have is school... no activities, no jobs.... school, study, eat, sleep... rinse and repeat.

After orientation I drove home and I had about an hour back at the apartment to relax for a bit. After that I had my first class for 3 hours... rights and responsibilities seminar. It's basically a class about ethics for the chiropractic profession... what code it follows, etc. I already have 3 assignments for that class, mind you that class is only 1 credit... ha. I also bought some books yesterday, that were recommended that I get... and man, I wish Palmer had textbook rental! I also had a bunch of other things set up.

My first day was pretty good. I had a ton of classes today... just about 9 straight hours of class, plus I went in early before my 7:30am class to claim a locker in a good spot. Class-wise... it was a lot of information being thrown at us at once... but I will get used to it. I have met a lot of people... there is a total of 135 other students starting with me this trimester. I have been meeting people from all over the US in my tri... and even outside of the US from places like Japan, Canada, Australia, Norway, and Africa. It's also nice getting to know some of the upper tri students, because they usually give good advice... or are willing to hand down class material to you like bones, books, etc.

It seems like it is a good atmosphere to be in, and it definitely feels like I am in the right place, so I am happy with that... it is just A LOT of work, but that is expected... and I don't know how many times I have heard that today and yesterday. But, in the end, once I am able to start helping people in the way my chiropractors have helped me, it will be worth it.

That's all I have... and for the next year at least I am going to most likely be glued to a chair studying... as I will be after I hit "update journal."
