(no subject)
Well... It is another Monday. I really don't like Mondays very much. This morning did not get off to a very good start either. Caspien and I decided to trade cars because he has to make a trip up to Sedona for the schools conference that he is attending. I grabbed my music book for rehearsals tonight... but I forgot to grab my script. We are blocking scenes tonight... so I figured without my script, they might get a little mad at me. I had to make Caspien go out of his way and I had to turn around to go back and get the script from him. Then I was frustrated and mad at everyone and everything even though I knew I shouldn't be. I really need to stop taking my frustrations out on other people. I will make a note to REALLY work on that.
Now I am at work. We just started a new schedule. We are supposed to be working 4 - 10 hour days. Now normally, this would not bother me... but I have NOTHING to do at work. The more bored I am... it seems like the longer the day seems. Don't get me wrong, having every Friday off for an entire month is definitely not something that I am going to complain about. But I just pray that something happens that will get me through the ever longer days.
I had a wonderful weekend. I auditioned on Saturday for the season at Theater Works. I felt that even though the accompanist was VERY VERY bad... that I did a good job with my songs. I kind of just gave up on trying to find out where she was at and just sang at my own tempo and prayed that she somewhat caught up so that it didn't sound horrible. But after hearing what the other people said as they walked out of their auditions made me feel much better because I knew that I was not the only one. But then they informed us that we needed to stay and do our dance auditions.... What was this?!?!? We were going to be dancing?!?!?! I wasn't prepared for dancing. I was wearing like 4 inch silver stiletto shoes. They said it was a last minute decision. I made the last minute decision to go in and learn my dance audition with NO shoes. I was very comfortable with the dancing... and for me that is saying A LOT! Anyone who knows any member of my family knows that the last thing that we even come close to being good at is dancing! But I was very excited with how everything turned out. I hope that I get a call back!
After auditions we decided to spend the day with our friend Tess. She came over and went swimming and then I fixed probably one of the weirdest dinners we have ever ate. We are running a little low on money this month so there wasn't really anything that we could order in for dinner. I fixed a frozen pizza, macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, and barbecue baked beans. We actually all enjoyed dinner very much and we decided to put on a movie and relax. We decided to watch "Running With Scissors". I really enjoy this movie. Caspien cried a few times which was kind of weird.... but I guess that he was just feeling the movie. After this movie was over, we played games with Kimberlyn and Christian... and after that we came back out and had a late night snack of spicy doritos and cheese quesadillas. I put on "National Lampoon's Vacation" and Duane went to sleep since he was FORCED to go into work over the weekend and Tess fell asleep and Kimberlyn and I finished the movie. I finally wound up in bed around 2:30am. What a wonderful day.
I was a bit lazy on Sunday. I slept in until about 12:30pm and once I woke up... I spent the entire day in my pajamas! Caspien was at work and Robin was gone. I came down and crocheted and watched some television. Caspien came home and we just kind of got everything ready for his trip to Sedona... and we played some more video games... he played some more POGO... and we ordered pizza and watched a little bit of the MTV Movie Awards. I must say that Caspien and Kimberlyn's performances on Karaoke Revolutions were some of the best that I have ever heard.... Although Christian and I put up a mean fight. Christian and I also decided that we were going to go on tour with our stirring rendition of "Proud To Be An American". It was so moving that it almost brought tears to my eyes. Then we went to bed and I had to get up at the butt crack of dawn... so that I could be at work by 6am!
That is about all that happened to me over the weekend. I will try to update daily... but probably just on the weekdays.... because I usually just don't feel like writing on the weekends. Besides... you will always have a long story to read every Monday. I know that everyone is so completely interested in my ramblings as it is!
