Do you believe in magic?

While writing the next part of STTOT I thought about how the vampires view magic.

It's an interesting question, we know that there was some magic involved with the creation of the slayers and they are in part demon. So why not vampires.
I think Spike knew that magic was powerful and had to be respected. We saw Spike research the spell to save Dru before he used it on her.

Yeah, people don't give him enough credit. Spikes' still known as doing things in the spur of the moment but that is not always the case.

I've never understood that myself. I know that he told Angel in ITD that he got bored waiting but this is the guy who cured Dru, who found the gem of Amara, who was able to assemble the judge, who keep the fact that he could walk again a secret and who was able to capture Angel in In the dark.

Yeah but people think that because he lives for the fight that means that he always rushes into. Damage had a good look into how both Angel and Spike work a case which might have fueled this.
